The Charlotte County SHRM was honored by the Junior Achievement (JA) of Southwest Florida as the Charlotte Business Volunteer of the Year Award.

HR Person of the Year Tampa Bay presented an amazing night filled with the best and brightest in HR from the Tampa Bay area. This was an event to celebrate the winners and network with each other.

From HR Person of the Year to the Lifetime Achievement Honor, we have a lot to celebrate this month! HR Florida State Council represents over 14,000 individual human resources professionals in 28 SHRM affiliated chapters.
Our 40th year is just weeks away and we have officially been approved for a maximum of 17 SHRM / HRCI Credits! What better way to spend three days expanding your knowledge in the field, increasing your networking, and bringing back new and innovative ways to make your business the best it can be.

Ocala Human Resource Management Association presented The College of Central Florida Foundation a gift of $12,500 to establish an endowed scholarship.

HR Florida State Council serves as the premier resource for best practices relating to the human resources profession for both public and private employers located throughout Florida.

July 26th is the 28th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Approximately 13% of all Floridians report having at least one disability; therefore, it is important to be well versed on ADA and potential accommodations.
Summer often yields a little downtime for many of us, so be sure to have some rest and relaxation, and use this time to check some items off your to-do list! Reminder: July is a renewal month for SHRM, so don’t forget to pay your dues before the end of the month.
Are you timing out from your chapter volunteer duties? Are you interested in getting more involved in the HR Florida State Council? If you said “yes” to either (or both) of those questions, we are reviewing applications for the 2019 Council and we want to learn more about you!
The 2018 HR Florida Conference & Expo has been pre-approved for a maximum of 14 SHRM professional development credits and 14 HR Certification Institute general recertification credits for attending the entire conference (including sessions during both lunch hours). Our comprehensive program is designed to give you the full range of HR education. From the basics that every HR professional needs, to the innovative ideas that are changing how you work, our 120+ sessions have something for everyone at every level.
