The HR profession is constantly changing and evolving; therefore, it is important for certified professionals to update their HR competencies and knowledge on a continuous basis. Achieving certification as a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP®) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP®) is the first step.

2019 HR Florida Conference Update

Time to step away from the office and enjoy three nights of learning, networking and of course fun at the 2019 HR Florida Conference & Expo!
The Chapter Excellence Awards recognize outstanding efforts by our chapters in the SHRM designated Core Leadership Areas. Each year, the HR Florida State Council recognizes chapters that have made an exemplary contribution to the HR Profession and their communities. We received many submissions for the Chapter Excellence Awards and today we will recognize those chapters that went above and beyond to make a difference. We appreciate the efforts of every chapter and recognize the work they did in their communities.
2019 is off to a great start for the HR Florida State Council, which has been honored with the Seven Seals Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a U.S. Department of Defense program, for its meritorious leadership and support of men and women who serve our country as part of the National Guard and Reserve.
During the January 4th Council Meeting, HR Florida State Council President Heather Deyrieux presented the Humanitarian Award to Bay County Chapter President Tiffani Hinds and President- Elect Stephanie Conn. Created to recognize those who have given their time, talent and/or treasure, the accolade celebrates a chapter’s caring contributions made for the well-being of its community. The Bay County honorees were presented with $1,000 for their post-hurricane recovery efforts to aid the members of their chapter.
