MIKE OWENS IS A HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER AT LANDRUM HR and currently serves as president of the Greater Pensacola SHRM Chapter. Owens was recently honored with the Department of Defense Seven Seals Award in recognition of his extraordinary support of the men and women who serve in the Reserve Components of America’s Military.

“The Seven Seals Award was created by the Department of Defense to publicly recognize individuals who provide patriotic support and cooperation to Reserve and National Guard Service Members, who, like the citizen warriors before them, have answered their Nation’s call to serve.” The Seven Seals represent the Army National Guard, Air National Guard, Marine Corps Reserve, Coast Guard Reserve, Air Force Reserve, Navy Reserve and the Army Reserve.

Tim Lambert, ESGR state vice chairman for the North Florida Region, presented this prestigious award during the monthly Greater Pensacola Society of Human Resources Management meeting. Lambert said, “Mike Owens has gone above and beyond in his support of those who serve in the National Guard and Reserve. As a U.S. Army Retiree, Mike continues to serve and epitomizes the Army tradition of ‘Once a Soldier, Always a Soldier, A Soldier for Life.’”
