Lisa DePatie, SHRM-CP, PHR, WWF Wellbeing Director, District 8:
A typical workday for me is full of compensation and job descriptions; so, I was thrilled to venture out as a WWF Wellbeing Ambassador and fulfill my passion of encouraging and sharing the importance of healthy lifestyles at our first District 8 WWF mini preprogram team presentation. Our first mini preprogram was held on June 26th 2019 in Charlotte County. The event with Diane Ramseyer of Tobacco Free Florida went very well (they even included us on their program certificate-how cool!). While they are a smaller chapter, Charlotte County SHRM goes out of their way to offer great programs. Our third quarter WWF preprogram with Tobacco Free Florida team member Diane Ramseyer, was an excellent segue to the chapter’s main program of Mental Health in the Workplace – an important and huge concept to bring awareness to overall employee wellbeing.
Wellbeing Works Florida Charlotte County SHRM leaders
I am excited and looking forward to our next upcoming third quarter WWF team mini program presentations. On July 10th 2019, we were at SHRM SWFL (Lee County) and on August 15th 2019 we will be at HR Collier. As we continue to share best practices with WELCOA Benchmarks and TFF facts on cost and impact of smoking to workplaces, we will drive more engaged and robust workplace wellness initiatives. Go Team! This is an awesome undertaking! We are rockin’ District 8!
"We are a small but mighty chapter! Charlotte County SHRM was thrilled to host Lisa DePatie and Diane Ramseyer in June. Our chapter loved their passion and program message. WWF allowed Charlotte County to strengthen its reputation as a small yet mighty chapter. Linking it to wellness was a super connection to our guest speaker Ashley Bloom from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and our second speaker, Eve Sweeting, Diversity Director for HR Florida, who spoke on the topic of Mental Health in the Workplace and made for a great meeting. WWF allows Florida employers to build a reputation that they are a compassionate and preferred employer.”-Kim Byrne, SHRM-CP, MBA, President Charlotte County SHRM

Grace Vergis, WWF Wellbeing Director, District 6:
As District 6 Ambassador for Wellbeing Works Florida (WWF), I teamed up in advance and worked in collaboration with Serena DeFrank Tobacco Free Florida (TFF) Tobacco Prevention Specialist to launch our new third quarter WWF initiative. We delivered the new WWF mini preprogram to our St Lucie County Chapter SHRM on July 26th, 2019. We are so committed and passionate about making workplace environments healthier and were excited to present to a dynamic group of amazing HR professionals. We are honored to be amongst the trail blazers of such an incredible initiative! Our team is looking forward to even more rollouts in third quarter for WWF in District 6!
“Grace Vergis and Serena DeFrank delivered an excellent WWF team preprogram presentation at our June monthly meeting. The entire chapter loved their passion and the program message. The tie-in to wellness related super with our guest speaker from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention who spoke on mental health awareness and this made for a very informative meeting.” -Doug Baber, MBA, DBA (c), President St Lucie County SHRM
